What ever happened 2 Rap groups and Crews

There was a time when rappers used 2 have groups and crews and when you saw them perform it was more than just 1 guy walking back and forth on stage. Now dont me wrong there has always been great solo artist but it seems that the rap crews are dead now, the last relevant rap crew would probably be the Wutang clan but since then no other real crew has emerged. There used to be some great duos such as Run Dmc, EPMD, Nice and Smooth, Black Sheep and Kid n Play then there were the hot groups Sugar Hill Gang, Whoudini, Naughty by Nature, De la soul, LODS, Three Times Dope, Lords of the Underground, Furious Five, and Treacherous Three just to name a few. Then there were the crews such as Juice Crew, Flavor Unit, Hilltop Hustlers, Flipmode, Hit Squad, Bomb Squad and Rush Mngmnt. We are so caught up in the almighty dollar that we no longer want to share that we have lost touch with the inner beginnings of hip hop what started out fun is now simply "business". Id love to see what some of there artist could do if they pooled their resources and worked together creatively then maybe it wouldnt be so easy 4 just one or two artist to easily monopolize the industry there is strength in numbers so get together lets make hip hop what is was meant to be a culture and not just a cash cow...Chaos

The Wire

Yesterday i prepared myself 4 what was supposed 2 be the highlight of my week and that was 2 watch the season finale of season 5 of The Wire. Although i hate 2 see it go i really was looking forward 2 what was gonna happen next i had prepared all of my snacks got my drink had my kids settled with a movie and snacks then turned the volume up on the tv locked the door and turned the cable 2 on demand only 2 find out that they would not be showing the finale until march10th ill be damned. So since we have some time we may as well recap all that has been going on this season thus far for all you avid wire followers like myself. Ok we have Mayor Carcetti making all of these major budget cuts in the police dept meaning no overtime or good cars or equipment,McNulty creates a fictional serial killer which forces the mayor 2 give overtime,McNulty enlists the aid of Freeman who becomes actively involved in the serial killer charade and puts up a unauthorized wire on Marlo Stansfield and his crew,Bunk knows about the serial killer and is not happy about it and stays with his real work and distances himself from McNulty,On the streets Omar is busy robbing and killing Marlos people because they killed his oldhead the blind man from the bar in order to bring him out of hiding,So now he is wilding out and calling Marlo 2 the streets while Chris and Snoop are racing around 2 find him while keeping hush about what he is going around saying,Omar and 1 of his homies try 2 get Chris and them and have a shoot out in an apartment building where Omars partner gets killed and he is cornered but he manages 2 escape by jumping out of a window,Snoop is checking hospitals looking 4 Omar who was actually still in the building hurt reseting a broken bone in his leg and making a makeshift crutch and out continuing on his mission 2 get Marlo,In a crazy twist ultimately Omar is killed by Kenard a lil hopper about 12 years old in the store buying smokes,Freeman makes the call and they move on Marlo and get his whole crew,McNulty lets Kyma in on what is going on about the killer and she is very unhappy about it,While things begin 2 get really out of hand about this killer McNulty decides 2 abort the whole thing but he still has a lot of officers that are relying on him because he was passing out a lot of overtime,While behind bars officers pull up old DNA from Mikes stepfathers body that goes back 2 Chris and bring the evidence 2 him although neither Chris or Marlo think that Mike is snitching Marlo feels it would be safer if they knock Mike off,So now there is a hit on Mike and he is on the move he takes the money that he has saved and takes his lil brother 2 a aunts house and leaves him there with the box of money and says goodbye and he takes Dookie and lets him be on his way,Snoop approaches Mike about doing a hit with her since chris is locked up but its a setup and Mike is hip so he has her pull over so he can take a leak and gets the drop on her and kills her b4 she gets to get him,back at the precint Kyma cant handle the pressure and tells on McNulty so now we are up 2 date check back after the finale and lets rap it up.......Chaos

Same shit different ass

As i pass through the news and rumors that i come across daily i look at some of the things that these supposed successful adults are doing and i wonder about the price of fame. I hear about Suge Knight being beat down by 2 female soap opera stars!! Then there is the ever going fued between rappers that never seem 2 end Fat Joe and Papoose had a altercation because Papoose was at the radio station when "other" rappers was dissing Joe so he decides 2 step 2 Papoose and from what i hear Pap stole on him and it went down and then a pic surfaced online of joe with a bandaid on what appears 2 be a busted eye. Im not even gonna waste any time talking about Britney Spears or Amy Winehouse we will just remember them at their funeral. Im also hearing that Chris Brown may have proposed 2 Rhianna and gave her a really big ring if so congratulations are in order and we wish them the best they are young rich powerful and very successful why not be happy from what i hear their are a few haters on this one but you gotta do you. Then there is the senseless killing of rapper Juveniles young daughter "my heart goes out 2 you and your family Juv" i cant understand the mentality of anyone that can muster up the nerve 2 even consider killing a child and your sister at that i have never wished ill feelings on a kid but i hope this young boy rots in hell because what he did is one of the most heinous crimes ive heard in some time and i hope that he is tried as a adult and get death cause why should he live when he killed his mother and 2 siblings there is no reform for him and why waste tax payers money keeping him in prison when you can just get rid of his ass. Then finally my last 2 comments 1rst rapper lil wayne admits 2 being addicted 2 drinking syrup and tries 2 justify it by basically saying that being as though he is successful it dont matter its not affecting anything cause he is doing well maybe somebody needs 2 tell him about Florence Ballard,Jimi Hendrix,Billie Holiday,John Belushi,Chris Farley,Anna Nicole,Elvis,Sid Vicious and many others all whom were very successful and still abused themselves and many who died very young remember Hendix was only 27 when he died. Finally my last remarks the creator of the Stop Snitching DVDs has been indicted after he allegedly threatened a store owner 4 not wanting to carry the DVD so now "Skinny Suge" and 17 alleged members of the TTP Bloods are now under indictment over a DVD just my thought if you wanted people 2 stop snitching why would you put it on a DVD and tell all your biz on film "AINT THAT SNITCHING?"on your damn self....

2008

Here we are leaving behind another year of craziness and entering god knows what. 2007 brought us some interesting things we have seen some superstardom at its best such as Beyonce,Rihanna,Jennifer Hudson,Alicia Keys,Keysha Coles,Mary J as well as the men Kanye West,50 Cent,Chris Brown,T-Pain "non singing ass"and those idiotic rappers thats killing the airwaves with these nonsense rhymes and dances soulja boy,lil mama,jason fox,huey,and hurricane chris but it also brought us a few good ones such as Sean Kingston. Also in the 2007 we have seen our share of the DUMB celebrities such as the Britney Spears meltdown and T.I.'s arrest as well as the scandal at Oprahs school and the scandalous DeLaHoya pics as well as the arrests of such rappers as Foxy Brown,Busta Rhymes,Remy Ma and Katt Williams. We have also had our share of loss in 2007 with the deaths of Kanyes mom Dr. West and Pimp C from UGK also we lost Ike Turner among others but with tragedy also comes triumph and we have the celebrity baby boom of 2007 with Halle Berry,Jennifer Lopez,Meagan Goode,Jamie Lynn Spears,Garcelle Beauvais,and Christina Aguillera. And now ending out the year was a few suprise weddings such as Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds and the supposed secret weddings of Jay Z and Beyonce and Janet Jackson and Jermaine Dupri so congrats 2 the newlyweds and keep it tuned 2 PlatinumMusicMag.Com and we will see you in the New Year....SnookChaos

Is this the future of hip hop?

Soulja Boy is this the nonsense that real hip hoppers from the true era of hip hop is now subjected to, is this what the culture that we worked so hard to embrace and to have accepted is doomed to be remembered as. As i listen to the radio now i get so disgusted at the lack of talent and originality that it seems that hip hop had become a circus rappers used to be cool with some sorta of self defining style as well as articulate whether or not they used slang. Now we have these ignant ass rappers that cant put 2 words together doing these gay ass dances and wearing these dumb looking over accessorised "yeah i said it" dress looking shirts and pants. We al know that if soulja boy was in your class at school looking like that youd run his corny ass home from school on a regular. Now dont get me wrong he is NOT the only disgrace in hip hop today westill have ignant ass Lil Wayne talking all that baby killing shit "nigga we saw pics of you kissing another grown man in the mouth" you aint in no way a G so kill all of that gangsta talk before they find YOU in a duffel bag "and yeah im a Erie Ave nigga like Gillie". Now as far as talent Lil Mama can rap when she aint talking that dumb ass lip gloss mess but she needs a stylist asap she looks a mess and she is another one that is ignant and cant talk and she looks like a 40 year old transexual. Jason Fox,Huey and all those others who dont even deserve to be mentioned need 2 study hip hop sit down with Dj Kool Herc ,Melle Mel, Caz or somebody that was there and knows because you cant possibly knowwhere your going if you dont know where youve been STOP KILLING OUR MUSIC you need to check and see we defend ours we have stopped all the wack ass rappers b4 you Hammer,Vanilla Ice,Young MC,Def Jef, and plenty more and we will stop you. One of the best things in the new generation of hip hop is Sean Kingston a very talented singer/mc and Cassidy you a talented rapper but be real 2 yourself and stop talking that shit you the richest rapper under 26 CAUSE YOUR NOT as much as i hate him Bow Wow can buy your ass if he wanted 2. And lastly 2 all these labels we woldnt have these problems if you didnt condone this foolishness sign some real talent if these dudes aint selling like jayz,50 cent or Kanye then they are not the next generation of hip hop so dont try 2fix what aint broke.

Sean Taylor

I know that everybody is already talking about the murder of nfl player Sean Taylor and it is a crying shame that the world is falling apart the way that it is. Its bad enough in this world that we have 2 deal with countries at war terrorism and hatred and now just plain stupid crimes for no reason. We are all no matter what some people think a product of the same being god under any name is god and i know the he has 2 be ashamed of what is going on in the world. How would you like 2 have to sit back and watch your children hate and kill each other shamelessly over nothing and then expect you 2 constantly forgive them. We are living in hell already and dont even realize it if we dont wake up soon we will always be there.....

The New Gay Rapper

There are some rumors floating around about another rapper that is allegedly bisexual. The rapper in question is one of the young rappers who had been around 4 some time and just had a bad breakup with his also famous girlfriend his bodyguard has stated that he has witnessed this rapper on many occasions in homosexual situations. This same rapper years ago was supposedly molested by one of his ex bootyguards i mean bodyguards. The rapper they say has left many a party with gay men. The funny thing about this whole situation is that the alleged rapper is one of the most arrogant dudes in the game now we know about being a asshole but packing one is another issue.
